Information for 2021

Please note that these special rules and policies are in addition to the Standing Rules and Policies. Please read both sets of rules carefully before coming to the pond.

With the outdoor mask mandate lifted, we anticipate a summer that’s close to normal. We'll have swimming pond toys and the volleyball and tetherball equipment out; sprays and wipes are available to disinfect surfaces before and after each use. Bathrooms will be open and cleaned frequently, though visitors are encouraged to continue using the screened changing area to change clothes.

Some of our members have gotten vaccinated against Covid-19 but many haven’t, especially young children. Whether to wear a mask, play with beach toys, use the boats, etc., is a decision each person must make based on their own comfort level. Please be courteous and respect the decisions of your fellow pond visitors. If you have any concerns, please speak to Waterfront Director David Trant directly.

Who can visit

  • Those who visit the pond must be registered summer members (e.g., the shareholder and any others in the shareholder’s household whom they have registered and paid summer dues for) or guests of members.

  • Guests must be accompanied by a member, who will be invoiced in September for accrued guest fees.

  • If you're a shareholder but elect not to pay dues this summer, you're still entitled to three free visits to the pond (meaning one person on three different days, or three people in one day). Please notify the staff when you visit the pond with your name and share number.
